Skills Needed

• This role combines administrative tasks, team leadership, and an active, guiding presence in the taproom.

• Lead everyday taproom operations, ensuring the highest level of hospitality and comfort for our guests, and for the success of team members.

• Recruit, train, and inspire staff to do the same by fostering a supportive, positive team environment.

• Ensure that customers receive prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service.

• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner, and implement improvements as needed.

• Maintain a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all patrons.

• Maintain a high standard of draft quality, cleanliness and organization throughout the taproom, bar area, and outdoor spaces.

• Participate in the development and implementation of an expanded food and curated cocktail menu.

• Implement and improve systems, SOPs, and workflows to increase efficiency and consistency throughout taproom operations.

• Manage inventory, including ordering and stocking of supplies.

• Ensure compliance with NY health, safety, employment and alcohol regulations.

• Plan, Manage and staff taproom, events, private events, and off-site events to make them memorable for guests.

• Review operating and financial reports to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement across taproom operations.

• Participate in marketing and social media efforts to drive business and engagement.

• Serve as a “Brand Ambassador,” representing our brand and ethos.

• Schedule staff shifts and manage payroll.

• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to ensure high-quality service.
• Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.

• Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking of beverages, glassware, and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Plan and Manage Tap Room events and private events, and off-site events at which Soul Brewing Co. is participating.
• Work closely with Marketing and Social Media team to drive business and social media interaction.
• Serve as a “Brand Ambassador,” representing our brand and ethos.

Skills Needed

• Managing, planning, and performing CIP on the brewhouse, fermenters, and brite tanks
• Managing, planning, and performing beer transfers to brite tanks for carbonation and packaging
• Accurately testing and recording pH, gravities, and carbonation (with Zahm & Nagle CO2 tester)
• Assisting with packaging in kegs and cans
• Lifting and carrying bags of grain
• Inventory maintenance
• A desire to research and learn new ingredients, processes, and concepts to help improve beer quality and production efficiency
• Keg deliveries and drop offs to various locations
• Representing Soul at beer festivals and other events
• Assorted tasks necessary for brewery upkeep
• Mechanical abilities for maintenance and repair a bonus
• Ability to help in the taproom as needed
• Excellent communicator
• Ability to follow directions carefully
• A mind for safety

Skills Needed

• Craft beer knowledge is a must, and food-pairing knowledge is an advantage

• Ability to multi-task in a noisy and fast-paced, distraction-filled environment
• Keep immediate supervisor informed of all problems or significant matters, and take corrective action when necessary
• Operate POS, ensuring all financial transactions are accurate
• Move about facility and stand for extended periods of time
• Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests
